The only Home is in small and quite boring Dolna Banya.
This building is Home for refugees, orphans or foundlings. Is the only place in Dolna Banya, where they can get some warmth and care. Nevertheless it is not enough to feel beloved. Warm clothes and food is not enough to serve lovely and caring family.
This is Bulgarian guy Penko. At the begining he was so shy. “I won’t talk in English” he said. Orphanage children are so close for strangers and happy to see some foreigners at the same time.
After few minutes he became open and kind of witty. Penko gained everything by himself, no pocket -money or any gifts. “I was working as a DJ and at the sea cost. It was the best summer. They paid me 10 euros during the day. I spent it for soft drinks and chips”. Is the happiness for him to buy some snacks by himself, nobody taught him to save money.
“I don’t want to go to the High School, I don’t need it. How to make a pizza?” he asked one Italian guy with the passion twinkles in his eyes. “I like to cook, look at these dishes. I cooked it. “We celebrated my birthday here, all canteen was full, all four tables”. Sometimes you do not need a lot of to be happy. That is so inspiring.
This is another Bulgarian boy. His name is Krasi. Strick face and stark look… He looked like this. Finally, after some jokes, he became more and more open. “I am doing forest management. I hate that stupid forest mafia working for Greece“
What about girls? “Of course, I have a girlfriend. I can’t say how long we are together.”
“For two months, I remember it better than you.” His friend is laughing.
Do you have any dreams? What about the family? “I want to stay realistic, do not let my dreams go far away. The fish is still in the sea and you already fried the pan. Of course, I would like to have a nice family later. “
“There is nothing that to do in this boring village named Dolna Banya, except of Casino club. I love to play table – tennis, let’s go for some matches.”
Lovely family is like a dream for these children. Instead of it, they are looking something else. The smell of cigarettes and some teenagers in the arbor to invite my attention. One more love story between Bulgarian girl and Afghan refugee. Afghan boy is going to be deported from the country after one and a half month. There is no happy end and no more hope for him to come back here.
